Day 11: White Calligraphy on Kraft Envelopes

My friends, Katie and Kevin, adopted this cutie 6 months ago and had a Meet Max party this weekend! It was so fun to hang out with him and his big cheeks! I even got to feed him. I can’t stop looking at this picture, he is just too much!

A typical morning for me is coffee, journal, run, work. In that order, everyday. I love change but I also love routine and that has been my go-to for years and years. In fact, until I got a running coach this past May, I rarely took a morning off from running. (He makes me rest more. 🙂 Mornings are such a sacred time for me, it’s when I’m most alert and active and thoughtful. The house is quiet, the streets are quiet, and I can be alone with my thoughts.

I didn’t have a run on the schedule this morning but I woke up early to dig into some new calligraphy books! I’m so excited about learning Spencerian script, I just love the way it looks. It was great having the quiet time to really study and practice.

The rest of my morning time was spent working on envelopes! I really like the kraft paper look on these Paper Source envelopes with Dr. Ph. Martin’s Bleed Proof White. I added a little more distilled water to dilute it from the thicker consistency I had when I used it on those bright cards. Really focused on the numbers, one of my goals of the 100 day challenge.

Just a reminder, the giveaway I’m doing for a free 8 x 10 custom print ends tomorrow night at 8:30!
