Day 25: Don’t be the same. Be better.

Oh man, I’ve had a great day. It’s been raining most of the day so after my walk this morning I put on my softest, most favorite sweats (Oiselle Lux Track Pants, I didn’t pay $84 but I would, they are so worth it!) and have been working on custom orders all day.

When I started learning calligraphy I was drawn towards making prints, especially uplifting, motivating prints. My friend Gretchen had painted me one years ago that said, Run Hard and Be Nice to People. I keep it in my bathroom on the wall opposite the mirror and every time I look in the mirror I see it. Still my motto, it resonates with me daily.

What I didn’t expect when I started my business was the stories I would hear from people who order custom gifts. We’re still a pretty small community here at Elle Marie so I don’t want to share anything specific but it’s been amazing. Just today I worked on 3 separate custom prints, all of which have emotional stories behind them!

I love hearing your stories. I’m the girl who in a race starts talking to the runner next to them. I want to share experiences with people. I want it to be about the team. This print was YOUR idea, I’m just trying to bring your vision to life! It’s such an honor and I’m humbled that you all trust me with these precious gifts! (No sneak peeks today, you’ll have to wait! 🙂

Don’t Forget!

Only 24 hours left in the GIVEAWAY!!! There’s been over 1,500 views of my crazy hair video. That’s madness! Get your vote in and tag your friends!! Winner will be announced in Tuesday nights blog.

Thanks for reading! Hope you’ve had a great weekend!
