Day 37: the day of books, sand, markers, and seagulls.

We walked into Erin’s parents condo last night about 10:30 and every little piece of stress I’ve been dealing with melted away. There was a noticeable SIGH that overcame me. Right out the back door is a ramp that ends in sand.

I slept in this morning and then went for a run on what seems to be an official road but is really more of a free-for-all packed sand drive. With a dew point of 77° (runners are obsessed with dew point…) it wasn’t exactly an “easy” run but it was fun and I was glad to be out there.

I’ve read my book, played with my markers, and wiggled my toes in the sand. It is so quiet here, the wind and waves are loud, drowning out all the other sounds.

I’m so very glad I said yes to this trip. Every year Erin has invited me and every year I’ve been too busy. But I’m learning, even when it seems like it’s not the right time….say YES.

Thanks for reading, see you tomorrow!
