Day 40: Find your mojo in 4 easy steps.

How to find your mojo:

  1. Go to the beach.
  2. Read lots of books.
  3. Take a day off.
  4. Set a time limit.

One and three might seem similar but I actually worked the whole time I was on the beach! Creating is a luxury to me, making time to create always a gift. But getting blog posts out and posting to social media, making sure all my business I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed is definitely work.

So, when I got home last night from Port Aransas, I didn’t do it.

A day off.

Just like that. 39 days in a row and then a day off. And it was glorious.

Set a time limit.

Today I sat down to work at 4:30 and told myself I only had until 6:30 to get everything I needed to get done. It kept me on task and focused. The to-do list is still long but there’s only so many hours in a day and I feel like the time I allotted today was super productive. (I’m typing this now at 8:11…but I DID stop at 6:30! Baby steps.)

Go to the beach.

Easier said than done but man, oh man, the beach is awesome!!! Beach time for me is always a game of how many books I can read in 3 days. Uninterrupted, guilt free, fiction time. The weather was so great that you could lay for hours reading in the sun and not get hot.

I feel super refreshed and ready to tackle the next 40 days!! I hope everyone had a great long weekend, thanks for reading!
